1st Annual Lake Worth Monster Mash To Take Over Downtown Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, FL (September 24, 2013) – On October 26th, 2013 at 6 PM Lake Worth will play host to an exciting Halloween event debuting as the Lake Worth Monster Mash. Visitors to Downtown Lake Worth will step into a carnival-style Halloween funhouse featuring 5 themed sections complete with roving characters, décor, and scary surprises. The event is both child and adult friendly, with a Kids’ Crawl and adult After Hours Crawl adventure, as local merchants open their doors to trick or treaters of all ages.
The Kids’ Crawl will run from 6PM to 8PM beginning at Lake Worth Cultural Plaza, and admission is FREE. Events will include a kid's costume contest, a planned trick or treat route, roving costumed characters, kid-friendly music, themed photo boards, a not-too-scary “haunt” line, outdoor movies, prizes, face painting, and goodies galore. Kids’ Crawl T Shirts designed by Lake Worth High art students will also be on sale for donations of $15+ with proceeds benefiting LWH art programs.
The After Hours Crawl registration starts at South Shores Tavern & Patio Bar at 7 PM. Tickets are $15 if purchased before October 26th or $20 on the day of the event. Attendees will receive swag bags, “gimmes” (a shot, beverage or snack giveaway) and specials from participating bars and restaurants. They’ll have the chance to win monsterlicious raffle prizes, opportunities to star in a locally produced zombie film “Beach Zombie Rampage: Kick'n it in the LDUB” or be a contestant in Monster Mash
AFTER HOURS CRAWL attendees will also enjoy live music, entertainment, photo boards, costume contests, a flash mob, scary encounters, and much much more. Commemorative T Shirts will be on sale for $15, with a portion of the proceeds from ticket/merchandise sales going to benefit the RedTrunks water safety & swim program The Lake Worth Monster Mash is the beginning of a wonderful community tradition that will become a yearly event.
