Josh DeTillio

Palms West Hospital - Chief Executive Officer

In July 2018, Josh DeTillio became the Chief Executive Officer of Palms West Hospital with HCA.  Josh began his career with the United States Army serving five years as a Field Artillery Officer. After leaving the Army, he transitioned into healthcare joining HCA in 2003 as an Administrative Fellow at Cedars Medical Center in Miami. He was later promoted to Associate Administrator at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center in Aventura, FL. In 2006, he joined Tenet Healthcare and served as the Chief Operating Officer for North Shore Medical Center in Miami as well as the Chief Operating Officer for St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach.  From 2011 to 2018, Josh worked with Lee Health leading Gulf Coast Medical Center as the Chief Administrative Officer in Ft. Myers, FL. Gulf Coast Medical Center is the combined hospital of two former HCA facilities; Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center and Gulf Coast Hospital.  Josh received his Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Vanderbilt University, as well as a Master of Public Health from Harvard University.
