
Palm Beach State College - Executive Dean, Belle Glade Campus
Dr. LaTanya L. McNeal, is a twenty-six year veteran in public (K-12) and higher education. Prior to her matriculation into education, she worked as a customer service/sales manager at AT&T Solutions and Claims Analysis Manager for State Account Operations-Blue Cross Blue Shield. She has served as a high school biology, chemistry and physics teacher, instructional science coach leading a new STEM integration program, assistant principal [high school], vice principal of curriculum and instruction [middle school] and principal of a Title I/ESOL Center/International Baccalaureate Magnet Middle School.
At the collegiate level she has served as a Student Learning Center Manager responsible for the student tutoring labs in English, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Assistant Dean of Student Services and currently Executive Dean & Dean of Student Services with responsibilities for leadership of the Belle Glade campus of Palm Beach State College and Dean of Student Services. Dr. McNeal, has held the position of clinical adjunct instructor at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, FL. teaching the Masters in Education program She has also served as an adjunct professor at Palm Beach State College where she has taught the Introduction to the College Experience.
She is an alumni of Leadership Palm Beach County’s Engage Class of 2022, is a graduate of Palm Beach State College Lead to Influence Academy. Dr. McNeal holds a Doctorate in Higher Education & Organizational Leadership, a Masters in Law, Policy and Advocacy (2022) and Masters in Education, she is a certified Life Coach and holds a certification from Vanderbilt University-Peabody College of Education and Human Development.
Dr. McNeal has served as a mentor to principals, assistant principals, teachers, aspiring education, corporate leaders, and higher education professionals. She has worked with the Southern Regional Education Board as a mentor for program leadership participants and has created teacher mentorship programs in Northeast, South Florida and Nashville, TN.
Currently, she serves as a Trustee with the Central Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce, Lakeside Medical Center board member and secretary, a member of the Quality, Patient, Safety and Compliance Committee with the Health Care District of PBC, Pahokee Housing Authority board member, LORE board member, chair of the Marjorie S. Fisher advisory board for the Boys & Girls Clubs Palm Beach County, past advisory chair for the Belle Glade Teen Center Boys & Girls Clubs, advisory board member for the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center, Pahokee Rotary, Glades Chamber of Commerce and Charter member of Alpha Alpha Upsilon Omega Chapter, Wellington, FL., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Dr. McNeal is the recipient of the Inner City Youth Golfers, Inc. “2022 Administrator Of The Year Award.”
In Dr. McNeal’s spare time she enjoys traveling, supporting her adult daughter’s entrepreneurial journey, and spending time with friends.
